Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

• Account info: email address, handle (call sign), first and last name.
• Profile info: photo, phone number, city/state, bio, social links, driving record details, and rig specifications you choose to provide.
• Location: if you turn on Share Location, your device's location is used briefly to determine your approximate city and state, which is shown to your connections. We store only city and state, never raw GPS coordinates.
• Trip and load data: mileage, fuel, earnings, and receipt photos you upload to the Records and Calculator features.
• Posts and messages: content, photos, and videos you send or post to other users. Recording a video attachment may use your device's camera and microphone.
• Usage data: pages visited, feature interactions, and error logs collected automatically to improve the app.

How We Use Your Information

• Operate and provide the Top Trucker service.
• Display your profile, handle, and shared information to other community members.
• Send transactional emails such as account confirmation and password resets.
• Improve app features and fix bugs.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and protect the community.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase: our database and authentication provider. Data is stored on their infrastructure under their security practices.
• Vercel: our hosting provider. They process web requests but do not store your personal data.
• Resend: our email delivery provider, used only to send transactional emails you request.
• Law enforcement: if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Your Profile Is Public Within the App

Your handle, name, photo, bio, rig info, and any broadcasts you post are visible to all signed-in Top Trucker members. Trip data, receipts, and driving record details are private to your account only.

Content Moderation, Reporting, and Blocking

You can report a post, message, or profile you believe violates our community standards, and you can block another driver to stop seeing their content and prevent them from messaging you. Reports are reviewed by our team, and we aim to review reports within 24 hours.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app. Deleting your account removes your personal data, including your rig, trips, receipts, connections, and contact details, and disables your login. Messages and posts you've already sent may remain visible to others, relabeled as "Deleted Driver," since removing them would also delete other members' conversations. If you'd rather we handle it for you, email us at info@toptrucker.app and we'll process your request within 30 days.

Cookies and Local Storage

On the website, we use cookies strictly to maintain your login session, and browser local storage to save calculator inputs between sessions. On the mobile app, we use secure on-device storage to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

Top Trucker is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app grows. We'll notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
